Interested in Enrolling in Education Outreach?
Virtually any School District 83 student can enroll at Education
Outreach, as long as it is deemed an appropriate fit by the student, parent,
and staff. Under the Ministry of Educations’
new “Education Guarantee” policy, adults, whether they have graduated or not,
are also able to take free courses at Outreach.
If you are interested in enrolling, you will want to give the school a
call (250-832-0662) and book an intake interview. All school-age learners,
need to be accompanied at this interview by a parent/guardian. Please bring a copy of the student’s birth
certificate and care card with you, when you come for the interview. Also, please note that several EOP staff and
students are highly allergic to perfumes.
As such we ask that you refrain from using any perfumes or highly
scented products when you are at EOP.
NOTE: If the student was previously enrolled in
another school in our district, or is currently enrolled in another school, you
need to contact the principal of that school and complete a Cross-Boundary Request Form. This process ensures that the principal knows
why you and your child are interested in having your child take courses at EOP.
Once you’ve decided that you would like your child at Education Outreach,
there are a number of things you and your child will need to do before being
considered enrolled:
·
Parent, student and
teacher develop and sign a Student Learning Plan and Learning Contract.
·
Parent and student
need to read the EOP Handbook 2009-2010 (available on this website) and the
student must submit answers to the intake assignment to their teacher via email.
·
Student completes a
set of activation assignments for the courses they are enrolling in.
